Gilbert R. Collins Sr. Passed away at his home in the Cedar Lake section of Denville, NJ on March 18, 2009.
He was 96 years old.
Born in Irvington, he had lived in Floral Park, NY before moving to Denville 30 years ago.
Gilbert had worked as an Engineer for Sperry Gyroscope Company in NY for 37 years before retiring in 1973.
His beloved wife Elsie J. (Goeller) Collins predeceased him in 2006 and his brother Richard Collins predeceased him in 2007.
He is survived by his son Gill Collins Jr. of Denville, NJ and his daughter Joanne Behrens of Port Jefferson Station, NY. His grandchildren Bryan & Darlene, Gregg, and Kristen & Zach Wamhoff, and his Great Grandchildren Brandon, Justin, Minna, James and Thomas also survive him.
Funeral services will be held at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ on Saturday March 21, at 10:00AM. Friends may visit on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9PM. Please light a candle in his memory at: www.normandean.com.
