Alphonse J. "Buddy" Huss passed away at Troy Hills Nursing Home on February 5, 2009.
He was 74 years old.
Born in Morristown, he had lived in Denville, NJ for the past 53 years.
Alphonse served in the US Army in the late 1950's, and worked for Picatinny Arsenal in Rockaway Twp., NJ for 33 years before retiring in 1993.
He was a member of the American Legion Post #390 in Denville, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed summers in Long Beach Island.
Alphonse was predeceased in 1961 by his first wife Joan (Wolfe).
He is survived by his wife Elspeth (Leslie) Huss of Denville, and his children Kimberly Englese of Cranford, Patricia Flynn of Denville, Dawn McArdle of Kenvil, Mary Huss of Palm Harbor, FL, Alphonse Huss of Parsippany, Robert Huss of Denville, and Jennifer Poorman of Denville, NJ. He is also survived by his grandchildren Brian Patrick, Sean, Amy, Krystal, Derek, Natalie, Neil James, Eric, Jaqui, Alphonse, Victoria, Jack, Sam, Josie, and Julia. His sister Mary Krozser of Florida also survives him.
Funeral services by Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ, will be held on Monday February 9, at 10AM at St. Mary's Church in Denville. Friends may visit on Sunday from 2-5PM. Please light a candle in his memory at www.normandean.com.
