Obituary of David H Adams

David H. Adams, 87, of Denville, NJ on Dec. 26, 2008. David came to the US on Dec.25, 1926 from Worcester, England, with a family of 11. He had two brothers and six sisters one who is still alive, Kathleen Heuser.
He lived in Brooklyn, NY until moving to Denville, NJ, in 1948 with his wife Mary nee Saleeby, who died in 1978 of cancer. They had lived in the Indian Lakes Section till 1967 when they moved to the Cedar Lake section of Denville. In 1995 he moved in with his son, Stephen, who also lives in Cedar Lake. David has had worsening stages of Alzheimer's over the last three years and passed away in the Maine Veteran's Home in Bangor, Me., near his daughter Barbara.
Dave was a citizen of the United States, a WWII veteran of the European conflict, a retiree of Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. in New York City, a member of American Legion Post #390 in Denville for over fifty years. He was an avid golfer and past member of Peace Pipe County Club in Denville, and a member of The Church of The Saviour in Denville.
He was also a wood crafter, a painter and rock sculptor over the years.
He leaves behind a son Stephen and his wife Susan of Denville, a granddaughter and her husband Amy and Daniel Brown of Willingboro, NJ and a grandson Stephen D. of Denville. His daughter and her husband Barbara and Robert Brennan of Troy, Maine, formally of Denville. Their son Jamie and their daughter Kelli and her son Joshua all live in Maine.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday Dec. 31, 2008 at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Saviour 155 Morris Ave. Denville, NJ.
