Obituary of Helen B. Severud

Helen B. Severud (Nee Bernstorf) passed away on Thursday November 27, 2008 at the Merry Heart Nursing Home in Succasunna, NJ.
Mrs. Severud was born in Teaneck and was a Denville resident for 80 years. She was a 1946 graduate receiving her Bachelor Degree at Gettysburg College. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the AAUW American Association of University Women, College Club of Mountain Lakes, Roxbury Art Association, Cedar Lake Community Club, and the Denville Community United Methodist Church.
Her husband Christopher N. Severud predeceased her in 2002.
Mrs. Severud is survived by her three sons, Chris Severud Jr. and his wife Andrea, Geoff Severud and his wife Jennifer, and Steve and his wife Deb, her six grandchildren, and two brothers, Robert Bernstorf and his wife Ginny and Allan Bernstorf and his wife Sandy.
Helen’s funeral services will be conducted at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com, (please light a candle on web site in memory of Helen), on Friday Dec. 5th at 4:00pm and may also visit from 3:00- 4:00pm and 7:00- 9:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer’s Association, 400 Morris Avenue, Denville, NJ 07834.
