ROBERT G. RILEY, On Tuesday August 29, 2006 at home surrounded by his loving family after a long illness, he was 70.
Born in Orange NJ Robert resided in Hanover NJ and Boonton NJ before moving to Lake Hopatcong five years ago.
Bob was an auto mechanic for over thirty-five years owning Bob Riley Auto Repair in East Hanover for fifteen years.
Bob was a former member of the Blades and was also a member of the Water Gap Country Club in PA. Bob was an avid Rodeo Rider, golfer, boater, bowler, and softball player. One of Bobs great achievements was making a Hole in one at his Country Club.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Gail McAveney, loving father of Susan and her husband Bryan Weatherford of Montville NJ, Karen and her husband Jerry Humphreys of Boonton Twp, and Robert and his wife Dawn Riley of Frelinghuysen NJ. Stepfather to Pamela Maloney. Bob is also survived by his former wife and devoted friend Ann Riley. Loving brother of James Riley and Barbara Rosestock. Beloved grandfather of Sean and Andy Humphreys, Bryan Weatherford III and Sarah and Jake Riley. His brothers Tex and Richard Riley predeceased him. Robert also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and many cherished friends and family.
Services for Bob will be held on Thursday August 31, 2006 at 8:00pm at Norman Dean Home For Services 16 Righter Avenue Denville NJ 07834,www.normandean.com. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9pm on Thursday.
In lieu of flowers donations in Bobs name may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice 400 Blackwell Street Dover NJ.
