MILDRED D. MULLIGAN (nee CAIRNIE) Passed away on Wednesday July 26, 2006 at home surrounded by her family, she was 91.
Born in Andover MA to Peter and Margaret Cairnie, Mildred lived in Queens NY before moving to Denville in 1975.
Mildred was the wife of the late William J. Mulligan Sr who passed away in 1964. Mildred was the loving mother of Barbara and her husband Louis DeVenuto of Denville. Sister of Peter Cairnie of NY and David Cairnie of Maine. Her son William Jr. and sister Jessie Farmer and brother George predeceased her.
Mildred is also survived by her loving grandchildren Donna and her husband Herman Zablatzky, Barbara and her husband Dana Jacobson, Linda and her husband Steve Rush, Louis III and his wife Heather DeVenuto. Mildred was the great-grandmother of ten.
Mildred was a switchboard operator with Rockresorts in New York City for ten years before that she was a homemaker.
Mildred was the Past President of the Denville Golden Age Club and was also active in the Denville Seniors.
Services for Mildred will be held on Saturday July 29, 2006 at 9:30am at St Marys Church in Denville. Visiting will be held on Friday July 28, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Norman Dean Home For Services 16 Righter Avenue Denville NJ 07834, www.normandean.com.
In lieu of Flowers donations in Mildreds memory can be made to Compassionate Care Hospice 400 Blackwell St Dover NJ or to St. Clares Hospital in care of cancer research.
