Thomas C. Castorina, 87, went home to be with the lord on Saturday July 22, 2006 at Saint Clares Hospital, Dover, NJ. Mr. Castorina was born in Manhattan, NY raised in Brooklyn, NY and since 1949 was a resident of Denville, NJ. He was a graduate of Brooklyn College and received his masters degree in Chemistry from Stevens Institute of Technology. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He was employed at Picatinny Arsenal, Dover, NJ for 37 years as a Research Chemist and for two years at the Brook Haven National Laboratories, Brook Haven, Long Island, NY. He retired in 1982. Mr. Castorina enjoyed hiking. Mr. Castorina was predeceased by his wife Eva P. Castorina in 1997. His son Thomas J. Castorina and his wife Constantina of Oak Ridge, NJ, Barbara J. Barnish and her husband Paul of Hopatcong, NJ and Elena M. Snyder and her husband Rick of LaGrangeville, NY, Nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren survive him. Funeral from the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue, Denville, NJ www.normandean.com on Tuesday July 25th at 9:30 a.m. for 11:00 a.m. funeral service at the Word of Life Christian Church 67 Bassett Highway, Dover, NJ. Entombment at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, East Hanover, NJ.
