Michael B. Sramowicz, 74, died at Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Clares Hospital in Dover, NJ on Saturday April 29, 2006.
Mr. Sramowicz was born in Jersey City, NJ, was a resident of Toms River, NJ for 20 years, Houston, TX for 5 years, and Hackettstown, NJ and the few years in Lake Hopatcong, NJ. Mr. Sramowicz was in the United States Coast Guard and then served during the Korean War in the United States Marine Corps. During his service in the Marines he participated in several campaigns, the seizure of Inchon, capturing and securing of Seoul, and in the Wonsan-Hungnam-Chosin Campaign and other operations in south and central Korea. Mr. Sramowicz was employed at DFI Concrete in Houston, TX and at Prefabricated Concrete in Farmingdale, NJ as a Truck Driver and Foreman. He retired 12 years ago. He was a member of the American Legion of Hackettstown and Blairstown, and a member of the Randolph YMCA Silver Fox.
He was the beloved husband of the late Vera Ruth Sramowicz. Loving father of Michele Baldwin and her husband James of Lake Hopatcong, devoted grandfather of Heather Baldwin. Brother of Peter of Bricktown, NJ, Sam of Boynton Beach, FL, Walter of Connecticut, and Mary Zabia of Bricktown, NJ
Funeral from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue, Denville, NJ www.normandean.com on Tuesday May 2, at 8:30a.m. For a 10:00a.m. Liturgy of Christian Burial service at Star of the Sea Church Lake Hopatcong, NJ. Interment Pequest Cemetery, Great Meadows, NJ.
