My heart sank recently when I learned Louie (as I always knew him) had passed away over 2 years ago. Louie & I dated for over a year at Mt. Hebron High School. He was truly the best boyfriend I could have had at that special time in our lives. My sympathies and care go out to all the family. It has been a blessing being in touch with Marty & Mr. Lydard recently. My heart breaks even more for this dear family knowing Mrs. Lydard has also recently succumbed to cancer as well. God bless you all as you endure these losses. Sue Middleton, Louisville KY

Lou was a great friend. I don't recall ever saying a bad thing about anybody. We shared an apartment in Columbia Md for a while and had shared fun times together. He was taken entirely too early. It is hard to believe that such a strong happy person is no longer with us. God Bless you Lou and God bless Kimmy.

I am so very sorry that I was unable to attend the services for Louis, but I was out of the country on vacation.
Louis and I were cousins and I have many fun memories of our times together. I also have 8mm films of Louis and Marty pulling each other in wagons around our basement when we were kids. But, I especially remember one Christmas party my parents had. I walked into the kitchen and asked my mother "where's Louis?" She asked me who told me Louis was there. I said nobody told me, but the baby sleeping in that playpen has to belong to Louis because he looks just like him!! Of course, that was Jason.
My how the time flies and life was far too short for Louis. God's blessings.

I am one of he few who knew Louis from day one. Not only am I his Aunt Jean, but I had the honor of being his Godmother. From babysitting days, childhood, teenager, and adulthood, Louis was always a fun person to be around. I can still picture him walking up the road past my house as he went to and from school. And I have the old 8mm. movies of him riding a sled down the little slope on the side of his house (of course Louis was standing on the sled, not sitting on it). And I remember the time we took the legs off of the old sand box and used it as a sled to go down the big hill over on the farm. And no one will forget the homemade racing carts that were made and raced down the road in front of our house. Then of course there was the music and band era of his teen years. Louis was always willing to help or do something for other people: he came to show us how to put brick on our kitchen wall and ended up doing a lot of hiself, he didn't buy Melissa a dollhouse,he built her one, and he didn't drop Jason off at his Karate lesson - he took the lessons with him. And though his time with Kim was so short, we know that it brought him great happiness and we thank her for the love and care she gave Louis.
Louis was taken from us all to soon, but we cannot question God's will and we know that Louis is at peace and pain free. We love you and will never forget you. Aunt Jean.

My uncle has taught me many things that I will never forget. He took me to get my first tattoo and my first shot of Cuervo!! We spent a lot of time together on my breaks from college surfing the web and looking at some crazy stuff!, going to the mall (in his Howard Stern days!) and watching everyone think that it was Howard, watching MTV (because my Dad wouldn't let me), and doing things that made us feel good. He was one of my best friends and someone that I will miss with all of my heart. I love you.

My cousin, Louis, was a very special part of my childhood. When we went to visit him we fooled around and laughed so hard that it hurt. He had a pool table in his basement, which I loved. Today I have a pool table in my home, and it reminds me of those fun times. If you can imagine two 7 year olds running around screaming "Tra-ra-ra-boom-te-ay...I'll take your pants away... and while you're standing there... I'll take your underwear!" (a song he taught me), then you'll appreciate the craziness. I no longer imitate the movies by tying friends to the pole in the basement and run around to rescue them like we did back then, but I remember those times, and Louis, fondly. My prayers are with you.

Lou and I worked together at WSSC in Laurel together for many years. During the time he was really into the Howard Stern look alike mode. He entered a couple of contests and won! Lou was always thoughtful, a great co-worker and friend. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time.
