Arthur L. Cougle Jr. Bud 79, died on Thursday March 16, 2006.
Mr. Cougle was born in Denville and was a life long resident of Denville. Mr. Cougle volunteered to serve during World War II in the United States Army. He was employed at Chubb & Sons in Summit, NJ as a Systems Analyst and Project Manager for 32 years retiring in 1982. Mr. Cougle was a member of the St. Johns Masonic Lodge 1 of Mountain Lakes and the Denville VFW Post #2519 where he honored veterans with his Poppy sales enthusiasm. Mr. Cougle was a member, Trustee and past Treasurer of the Indian Lake Community Club of Denville, He was a Past President of the Chubb Quarter Century Club, a volunteer at Saint Clares Hospital and Harvest Festival, and the Denville Little League and Denville Blue Angels Football Team. He was an avid Skier, Golfer and Outdoorsmen.
Mr. Cougle is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years Georgia G. (nee Goumas) Cougle, his three sons Arthur L. Cougle III and his wife Leanne of Green Pond, Glenn C. Cougle and his wife Desiree of Independence, and Mark L. Cougle of Denville, also his seven cherished grandchildren, Tara Riley-Palmer, Emma, Erik, Daniel, Erin, Brian, and Jake and one great granddaughter, Willa. Mr. Cougle was the uncle of many nieces and nephews and was predeceased by his sister Janice Van Campen.
Funeral services at Norman Dean Home for Service 16 Righter Avenue, Denville, NJ www.normandean.com on Monday March 20th at 2:00p.m. Relatives and friends will be received on Sunday March 19th from2-4 & 7-9p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to Erik Cougle Foundation, 7 Birch Lane, Hackettstown, NJ 07840 or St. Judes Childrens Hospital Box 3703,Memphis,TN 39713-0704 would be appreciated.
