Robert J. O’Leary passed away on May 10, 2013 at his home in Denville, NJ surrounded by his family.
He was 75 years old.
Born in Queens, NY, he lived in Denville, NJ for the last 30 years.
Robert received his bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University and worked as Branch Manager at Pitney Bowes in Cedar Knolls for 30 years before retiring.
He served in the U.S. Army Reserves and was a member of the Denville Knights of Columbus and loved to play golf and tennis.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Eileen (Lloyd) O’Leary. He is also survived by his loving children and their spouses, Kathleen O’Leary, Patricia & Mark Lavin, Robert O’Leary Jr., Christine & Robert Fornini, and Daniel & Carolyn O’Leary. His grandchildren Meghan, Kyle, Lauren, Robert, Samantha, Connor, Daniel, Robert III, Alexa, Morgan and Matthew also survive him as well as his mother Rita Smith and his sister Joanne McNeill.
He is predeceased by his brother, James F. O’Leary.
Visitation will be held on Monday May 13, 2013 at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ 07834, from 2-4 & 7-9PM. A Liturgy of Christian burial Mass will be held on Tuesday May 14, at 10AM at St. Mary’s Church in Denville. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ.
