Edward J. Johnston, 78, died on Friday January 20, 2006 at Saint Clares Hospital, Denville, NJ
Mr. Johnston was born in Morristown and was a resident of Denville for many years. He served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a custodian for Saint Clares Hospital, Denville, NJ, retiring many years ago. Mr. Johnston was an outfielder for the Brooklyn Dodgers and the New York Giants.
His companion Patricia Slack of Denville survives Mr. Johnston, his children, Margaret Smith of Port Richey, FL, Shirley Vasquez of Hudson, FL, Edward J. Johnston Jr. of North Port, FL, Donna Lee Johnston of Port Richey, FL, and Don Johnston of Hopatcong, NJ, also ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
