Obituary of Irene Frances Tidey

Irene F. Tidey 86, Devoted Mother and Grandmother Irene Frances Tidey, 86, died on Saturday January 7th at the Compassionate Care Hospice at Saint Clares Hospital, Dover, NJ. Mrs. Tidey was born in Newark, NJ raised in Whippany, and lived in Denville for 35 years and was a resident of Mt. Arlington, NJ. Mrs. Tidey was employed by Picatinny Arsenal, Dover, NJ and Sandoz Pharmaceutical Co., E.Hanover, NJ, Doctors Exchange Answering Service as an operator, a hostess waitress at the Par Troy Diner, at Bell Labs as a cafeteria worker, and a homemaker raising her children. Her husband Samuel E Tidey predeceased Mrs. Tidey. Her sisters Mae Iko and Evelyn Meyers, and her brother Adam Durma predeceased her. Her children Richard Tidey and his wife Lois of Jarrettsville, MD, Donald Tidey and his wife Margaret of Denville, NJ, Eileen Shaver and her husband Gary of Hohenwald, TN, and Gregory Tidey and his wife Ida Mae of Roxbury, NJ, survive Mrs. Tidey. She is the grandmother of seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Her loving brother Andrew Durma and sister Ann Fetchik survive her Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 5:30p.m.at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue Denville, NJ www.normandeancom.
