Eugene J. McKeon passed away on Monday, September 22, 2008 at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville. He was 78.
Born on December 29, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY. The son of the late William P. McKeon and Anna Marie Daly. Eugene lived in Boonton prior to moving to Denville a few months ago.
He was a veteran for the U.S. Arming during the Korean War. He was an engineer with Metropolitan Transit Authority and retired after 30 years. Eugene's favorite saying was, "Things are gonna change so you better get ready." Please light a candle in Eugene's memory on the website, www.normandean.com
Eugene is survived by his sister, Alice; brothers, James and William; nephews, James, John, Daniel, Brian, Kevin, Sean and Michael; nieces, Joy, Kimberly, Anne Marie, Mary Alice and Maureen.
The family will be receiving friends and family at St. Francis Chapel, 9 Pocono Road, Denville, N.J., on Wednesday, Sept. 24, from 4 to 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis Chapel on Thursday, Sept. 25, at 9 a.m. Interment will follow at the St. Charles Resurrection Cemetery in Farmingdale, L.I., NY.
