Barbara H. Schreiber (Wellen) passed away on October 27, 2005. She was 84 years old.
Born in New Rochelle, NY she had moved to Denville, NJ in 1949.
She had attended the Westchester Business School, and later worked as a secretary in 1940s for William S. Paley, Chairman of the Board of C.B.S.
Barbara was past president of the St. Clares Riverside M.C. Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the Denville Senior Citizens, and the XYZ Committee of Myths & Facts Sr. Citizens group of Saint Clares. She was on the Upper Rockaway Watershed Committee, a lifetime member Hadassah (National Jewish Women organization in Dover, NJ), a member of the Brandeis Womens Organization (Brandeis University, MA). She was also involved with the Barn Theater and Dover Little Theater as well as the Rotary Anns of Denville, the Denville Historical Society and Museum where she was a member and Docent. She had also been a Sunshine Lady for the Denville Senior Citizens.
Barbara is pre deceased by her husband the late Dr. Jerome E. Schreiber who past away in 1996.
Her children Edward J. Schreiber of North Hampton, MA, and Linda Beth (& husband Kenneth) Eisenstat of Denville, NJ survive her. Her grandchildren Danielle, Meredith, and Lesley also survive her, as well as her brother Edward Paul Wellen of New Rochelle, NY.
Funeral services will take place at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ www.normandean.com on Sunday October 30, 2005 at 11:00AM. Interment will follow at Mount Sinai Cemetery in Dover, NJ.
