Carl Cordasco passed away at Morristown Memorial Hospital on October 22, 2005. He was 97 years old. Born in Newark, he had moved to Denville, NJ in 1963 He received his bachelors degree from Rutgers University in 1931. He had been a registered Pharmacist since 1932, which he did part time up until 2002. Carls main employment was with the City of Newark, where he was a health officer, commissioner and president of the Employers Pension Fund for 21 years before retiring in 1976. He was a member of the NJ Pharmaceutical Association, the Health Officers Association, the Newark Republicans, the Denville Blue Caps, the Sera Club in Denville, and was the president of the Mutual Aide Association of the Newark Health Department. Carl was honored and received an award from the Veterans Administration for his services in the processing of inductees during WWII. Carl is pre deceased by his wife the late Mae Philomena who passed away in 1990. His children Carol (& Dominick) Parisi, Phyllis (& Peter J.) Healy-Sova of Roseland, NJ as well as his Grandson son Michael Parisi survives him. His many Nieces, Nephews, and Great Nieces and Nephews from the Minitelli, Ciletti, Cluen and Healy families also survive him. Friends may visit on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9PM.
