Rockaway Township -- Salvatore Mascia, age 77 of Rockaway Township, formerly of Newark and Naples, Italy, died Saturday October 22, 2005 at Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown.
Mr. Mascia was born in Italy, he was the son of the late Giuseppe and the late Filomena Auriemma Mascia. Mr. Mascia later married Frances Sorriento. They came to the USA in the 1970s.
He was a Matre d for 10 years, employed by LAllegria in Madison, retiring in 1994.
He is survived by his wife; one daughter: Sara and her husband Rosario Esposito of Rockaway Township; one son: Walter Mascia of Rockaway Township; one grandson: Antonio Esposito of Rockaway Township; one granddaughter: Francesca Esposito of Rockaway Township; sister in law: Elena Mascia of Naples, Italy; and nephew: Antonio Mascia of Naples, Italy.
Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Cecilia's RC Church, 70 Church Street, Rockaway, Saturday at 10:00am. Cremation is private.
