Mrs. Evelyn Blackford Clark passed away on October 17, 2005.
She was 94 years old.
She was born in Elizabeth, NJ, and attended the public schools there graduating from Battin High School in 1928.
She was a music student at the First Presbyterian Church and played the trumpet at the Interlochen Music Camp, Interlochen, MI, 1928, before moving to Mount Tabor, NJ 57 years ago.
She assisted her husband, Dr. William G. Clark in his dental practice in Elizabeth, NJ, and Dr. Warren P. Dochtermann in his medical practice in Chatham, and Doctors Richard T. Burns, Steven Richter and Donald A. Delpho in their dental practices in Morristown.
She was past president at the Union County Medical Assistants Society, a member of the United Methodist Church of Mount Tabor, the Garden Club, and the Mount Tabor Historical society.
She is survived by her brother Adair M. Blackford of Chatham, NJ, and three nephews; Peter M. Blackford of Naples, FL, Nathan T. Blackford of York, PA, Daniel E. Blackford of Providence, RI, and her dear friend Mr. Jesse L. McEwan III, of Whippany, NJ.
A memorial service will be held at the United Methodist Church of Mount Tabor at a future date. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers please send your donations to the Mount Tabor Garden Club P.O. Box 454 Mt. Tabor, NJ 07878 to be used to beautify Trinity Park.
