Ilmar was born in Estonia, came to the United States in 1949 to Manhattan, NY, and was a resident of Montclair and then Rockaway Township since 1957. Ilmar received his Master’s degree in Engineering from Columbia University, and owned and operated Morris Engineers Inc. of Ledgewood, NJ from the early 1970’s to 2005. He was a member of the Rockaway Rotary Club for more than 40 years and was honored as a Paul Harris Fellow in 2004. Ilmar was predeceased by his wife Virve in 2005. Ilmar is survived by his sons, Andrus and his wife Sirike, Rein and his wife Katherine, and Indrek and his wife Norma; and his five grandchildren, and his sister Elvi Aasmaa. Relatives and friends will be received on Friday May 3rd from 2-4 and 6-9pm at the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com, (please share a memory of Ilmar on website). All are invited to attend services at the Valhalla United Methodist Church, 200 Columbus Ave., Valhalla, NY on Saturday May 4th at 11:00am, committal interment services at the Kensico Cemetery, Vahalla, NY.
