Obituary of Margarete Gerhardt

Margarete Gerhardt, 88, died on Monday Sept. 8, 2008 at Care One at Madison in Morristown, NJ.
She was born in Zwingenberg, Germany and came to the U.S. in 1954, settling in Irvington, NJ before moving to the Cooks Pond Senior Center in Denville in 2002.
Margarete worked for the Maplewood Junior High School in food service for 30 years, retiring in 2001.
She was an avid gardener, loved orchids, and enjoyed attending social events for the Eastern Star with her friend Clara Breitweiser.
She is predeceased by her husband Walter Gerhardt who died Oct. 6, 1960, and her son Erich Gerhardt.
She is survived by her children and their spouses Christa and Gunther Graber of Carversville, PA, and John and Nancy Gerhardt of Denville, NJ, as well as four grandchildren and one great grandson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008 at 4:00 PM at the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue Denville, NJ,www.normandean.com.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 2-4 PM.
