Mecke, 92 passed away at Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown, NJ on Sunday April 21, 2013. Henry was born in Staten Island, NY was a resident of West Orange and a longtime resident of Glen Ridge before moving to St. Francis Residential Community in Denville, NJ. Henry served in the South Pacific during WWII in the United States Navy and afterward served in the US Naval Reserve. He was a Corporate Tax Account for the International Nickel Corporation in NYNY for 42 years retiring in 1980. Henry was predeceased by his wife Jean and a Grandson. Henry is survived by his children, Robert, Theresa, Thomas, Catherine, Andrew, Virginia, Mary, and Barbara, and his 31 grandchildren, and his 41 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. Henry’s funeral will be conducted from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com, (please share a memory of Henry on website), on Thursday April 25th at 9am for a 10am Mass of Christian Burial Service at St. Francis Chapel, Denville, NJ committal interment services at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ. Relatives and friends will be received on Wednesday April 24th at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9PM.
