It is hard being so far away from your family at a time like this. I wish I could be there to show my support and love for Uncle Joe. But I will be home in 5 days from Argentina, bring hugs and kisses to Katie, Jamie, and Gracie.
much love,

Dear Susan, Katie, Jamie, and Gracie, We are so sorry to hear about your dad. I know how much pride he had in all of you. I remember watching Gracie and Katie swim at the Colony Pool Club with him and he had a big smile on his face. I also spent time with him watching Jamie play soccer (glad you are back with Lightning) Out thoughts are with all of you. The Shenk Family

This is written to Joe.
Joe,
It was an honor to have known you for so many years. We grew up together and spend a great deal of time together even though we lived in different cities hundreds of miles apart. Our families have always supported each other through the good and bad times and you were a stellar example of a person that cared and loved those around you.
My yearly visits to the island created memories that have lasted along with when you lived with us in DC.
I regret that I will not be able to pay my respect in person this week since I am in Colorado and have another funeral obigation to attend this Friday, but I know you understand.
I will miss you a great deal Joe.
Love and respect,
Bob
