Elizabeth K. Nelson (nee Kessler) passed away at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover on May 21, 2005. She was 91 years old.
Born in New York City, she had lived in Pennsylvania, Flushing, NY, and Chatham, NJ from 1942 till 1999 when she moved to Franciscan Oaks in Denville, NJ.
She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin (1936).
Mrs. Nelson had worked as a librarian in Bay City, Michigan before marrying in 1938.
She was a former member, trustee and past president of the Womans Club of Chatham.
Was an active member of the Chatham Community Players, and a member of the Chatham United Methodist Church.
She is pre deceased by her son Richard K. Nelson in 2002 and her husband Charles E. Nelson in 2004. They were married 65 years.
Her son Robert J. (& MaryAnn) Nelson of Succasunna survive her.
Her grandchildren Katherine Stinson and Cynthia Nelson of Rockaway, Andrew Nelson of Middletown, NY, and Robert J. Nelson Jr. of Succasunna also survive her. Two Great Grandchildren, Amanda and Mathew Stinson of Rockaway also survive her.
Funeral at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ www.normandean.com on Tuesday May 24, at 11:00AM. Friends may visit prior to the service from 9 11AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: National Kidney Foundation 30 East 33rd St. New York, NY 10016.
