Catherine DeLorenzo, 98, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 7th. A Prayer Service will be held on Thursday, April 11th at 11 am at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville. Born in Vinigo, Italy, Catherine immigrated to the US when she was 35 years old. She had lost her first husband Attilio Pivirotto, while serving his country. Catherine bravely traveled to the US with her daughter for a better life.
Catherine was an exceptional homemaker, and always put the needs of her family first. She enjoyed cooking for everyone and spending much time gardening. She always had beautiful flower and vegetable gardens. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.
Predeceased by her husband Leo, and her son Eddie; she is survived by her daughter Joanne Berchin; son Joseph DeLorenzo; her four adoring grandchildren Yvonne Heyrich (Robert), Walter Berchin (Cheryl), Lisa Fischer (Peter) and Scott Berchin (Goshka); her ten loving great grandchildren; and many dear caretakers and friends.
