Richard J. Gibbs "Richie Buca" died peacefully on Thursday, August 7, 2008 at Morristown Memorial Hospital. He was 68.
Born on January 12, 1940 in New York City. The son of the late Jeremiah and Helen Gibbs. He resided in Rockaway for the past 20 years.
He worked as s Bar Tender for Michelangelo Ristorante & Lounge in Boonton for over 22 years. Previously he bartended at The Crows Nest in Hackensack and Aldo's in Rockaway. Richard was an Army Veteran, member of the Kinnelon Elks Club and a NY Giants football fan.
Surviving is his daughter Danielle and her husband Omar Townes of Newark. Sister Irene and Frank Murphy of Florida, Stepson George Kueck of Morristown. Grandchildren, Khyree, Omar, Zanaie, Brielle, and Crystal. Nephew, Eddie and nieces, Kim and Renee. Good friend Don Jardin and Dominic from Michaelangelo's.
A funeral service will be held on Monday August 11 at 11:00AM at the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue Denville NJ 07834. Visitation will be held on Sunday August 10, from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Interment will follow the service on Monday at the Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah, NJ.
