Obituary of Catherine R. Malloy

Catherine R. Malloy died on Tuesday, August 5th at St. Clare’s Hospital at Dover, NJ. She was 79 years old.
She was born in Boston, MA and lived for many years in Westfield, NJ,
where she and her husband Paul raised their family. She and Paul were
active in parish activities at Holy Trinity Church and School in
Westfield. Kate graduated from the Children’s Hospital School of Nursing
in Boston, and was a registered nurse at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ
for 20 years, before retiring in 1991. They moved to Denville in 2003.
She was a parishioner at St. Mary’s Church in Denville.
She was predeceased by her husband Paul in 2004. She is survived by her
children, John and his wife Jane of Bethlehem, PA, Neil and his wife
Maria of Ellicott City, MD, Paul and his wife Joanne of Toms River, NJ,
Mary Malloy and her husband Gil Wager of Portsmouth, NH, Kathleen Malloy and
her husband Steve Toby of Livingston, NJ, Walter and his wife Elaine of
West Caldwell, NJ, Joseph and his wife Kathleen of Lynchburg, VA; her
brother Neil and his wife Millie, of Stow, OH; her brother Edward and
his wife Betty of Boston, MA; and her sister Anne and her husband Bill
of Sarasota, FL. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and two great
grandsons, and many devoted nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be conducted from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue, Denville, NJ www.normandean.com, (please light a candle in memory of Catherine on web site), on Saturday August 9th at 9:30am for a 10:30am Liturgy of Christian Burial service at St. Mary’s Church, Denville, NJ. Relatives and friends will be received on Friday August v8th at funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Memorial donations may be made in Kate’s memory to Covenant House
