Allan H. Doane, 75, died on Sat. Jan.29, 2005 at Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Clares Hospital in Dover, NJ. He was born and raised in Sycamore, Illinois and moved to Denville before moving to Mt. Lakes, 20 years ago. Allan received a B. S. in Pharmacy from the University of Illinois, College of Pharmacy in Chicago, IL in 1947. He was in the U. S. Marine Corp during the Korean War. Allan had worked for over thirty-five years for Warner Lambert in Morris Plains and he retired in 1993 as Vice President of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance. He has always been active in Community Organizations, Denville Rotary club where he was a Paul Harris Fellow, and had been a past president of the club. He had also been a Past District Governor for Rotary International District #7470 here in NJ. He was also a member of St. Peters Episcopal Church in Mt. Lakes, where he sang in the Choir. He also sang with the Boonton area Presbyairs. His memberships also included the Mt. Lakes Club, and he has been sitting on the Wilson School Board of Trustees. He is survived by his wife Dr. Eileen M. Doane of Mt. Lakes, NJ. His daughters, Dr. Kathleen J. Doane of Rootstown, Oh. Sharon E. Doane and her husband Juan Morquecho of Saugerties, NY, and Elizabeth H. and her husband Anthony Gallopo of Green Twp., NJ. Two grandchildren Sarah Gallopo and Alexandra Gallopo, and three step grandchildren Terrence Morquecho, Thaddeus Morquecho and Ashley Gallopo. He is also survived by his twin brother Dr. Elliot P. Doane of Oklahoma City, OK. Funeral services will be held on Saturday Feb.5, 2005 at 3:30 PM at the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave. Denville, NJ www.normandean.com. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 2:00 pm until time of services. Rotary services will be held on Saturday at 3:00 PM.
