Edna Mae (Rawlings) Bessemer passed away on Friday, March 29, at Franciscan Oaks Health Center in Denville, NJ.
She was born on March 3, 1928 in Newark, NJ to Edmund & Helen Rawlings. She graduated from Boonton High School in 1946.
Edna Mae will be remembered as a loving & caring wife, mother, grandmother & mother in-law.
She enjoyed spending her summers at her shore house in Sunset Manor, NJ & she loved being with her family especially her cherished grandchildren. She was a member of the Mt. Tabor Methodist Church in Mt. Tabor, NJ and was the very first Queen of Mt. Tabor Children’s Day. She was also very involved with the women’s quilting group.
Edna Mae was predeceased by her parents Edmund & Helen, her siblings Doris, Elinor & Brian.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years Bruce, and her 3 sons Doug and his wife Barbara, Wayne and his wife Denise, Jeff and his wife Judy as well as her sister Jean.
She was the cherished “Grandma Mae” of Jimmy and his wife Jessica, Erica, Jason, Lisa, Nicole, Katie Mae, Jenna and Christine. She is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday April 2, 2013, at 10AM at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ 07834. Interment will follow at Evergreen cemetery in Morristown. Friends may visit on Monday From 2-4 & 7-9PM.
