Hi pop. I think about you so much lately, every time I pass your house, or the cemetery, or dialysis. I wish I could just drive over to the house and you'd be sitting in your chair with the tv blaring. I wish you would have had the chance to meet Tyler, but I trust that you're with us everyday in spirit and in our hearts. He carries the middle name Joseph for a reason. It's hard with Christmas coming up, that was yours and Nan's favorite holiday and you always made it so special for us. Please give nan a hug for me. I love you both eternally.

Pop, I Can't believe it's been three years. I feel like it was just yesterday when i was picking you up from dialysis every Saturday afternoon. Apples and I go back to the 1940s, the good old days on South 11th Street when we were all part of an extended neighborhood family that remained close for decades. George was the best man at my wedding in 1956.
I moved to California in 1958 and some years later George moved to Denville. Although we were miles apart we remained close friends over the years.
We will miss Apples!

George "Apples" was one of the kindest people we have ever known. We will never forget hus wonderful sense of humor, his generous laugh, his funny head tilt and his sparking Irish eyes.
I (Cookie) will always think of pizza pie on the porch on 11th street on hot summer nights with Mary, George, Floyd, Vi and all their kids, my mom and whoever else wanted to be there; swimming with the Ablines in Cook's lake was a life changing experience especially with 2 (lauaghing) Nana's, who couldn't swim being pushed into the deep water by George on a big, black rubber tube. Thank you George and all of the family for memories that will last beyond a lifetime!
