James J. McLean passed away at St. Clares Hospital in Denville on January 14, 2005.
He was 79 years old.
Born in Manhattan, NY, he had grown up in Brooklyn before moving to Denville 50 years ago.
He had served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII and was the recipient of three Bronze Stars.
Mr. McLean was an underwriter for Allstate Insurance Company in Murray Hill, NJ for 32 years before retiring in 1987.
He was a member of the Denville American Legion Post #390.
He is pre deceased by his sister Cecilia Bolder.
His beloved wife of 56 years Dorothy R. (nee Kelly) survives him. His children Michael K. of Saylorsburg, PA, Mark of Tracy, CA, Dorothy Godfrey of Salisbury, MD, Marie Ewert of Parsippany, and Patty Deemer of Denville, NJ also survive him.
His 13 grandchildren & 2 Great Grandchildren as well as his siblings John, Hugh, Lawrence, Robert, Mary McLiverty, Kathleen Holman and Anne Cappellini also survive him.
Funeral from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue Denville, NJ www.normandean.com at 8:30AM on Tuesday January 18, for a 9:30AM Liturgy of Christian Burial at St. Marys Church in Denville. Interment services will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, NJ. Friends may visit on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9PM.
