Rockaway Borough -- Myrtle A Creran, age 94 of Rockaway Borough, died Tuesday (11/02/04) in the Morris View Nursing Home, Morris Township.
Mrs. Creran was born in Newark, the daughter of the late Fred and the late Lulu Gundell Eggleston. She was a Practical Nurse, employed by Overlook Hospital, Summit before retiring in 1959 after 5 years of service. She lived in Denville from 1959-2000, moving to Hackettstown until August, 2004. Mrs. Creran was a member of Church Of The Saviour Episcopal Parish, Denville and St. Marthas Guild at the church. She also belonged to the Denville Womens Society and was a Friend of the Library in Denville.
She is survived by one daughter: Barbara Doremus of Basking Ridge, and one son: Dennis Creran of Rockaway, Grandson, Douglas Doremus of Bernardsville; Grandson, Scott Doremus of Simpsonville, SC; Grandson, Sean Creran of Hampton; Grandson, Darren Creran of Rockaway; Granddaughter, Megan Doremus of Netcong. Also survived by 3 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband, Norman J. Creran in 1993 and one son, Bruce MacIntosh, in 1991.
Friends will be received Friday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 PM at Norman Dean Home for Services, Inc., 16 Righter Avenue, Denville (www.normandean.com).
Funeral Services will be held Sat. at 9:30 am in the funeral home with burial following in the Fairmount Cemetery, Newark.
