Walter M. Borny, 56, Vietnam Veteran, Attorney, Author
Walter M. Borny died Tuesday September 14th at St. Francis Medical Center in San Francisco, CA after a long illness.
Mr. Borny was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived in East Northport, NY and then to Rockaway, NJ before moving to San Francisco, CA.
Mr. Borny served in the US Army in Vietnam and earned the Bronze Star and other commendations. He graduated from Rutgers University and Rutgers Law School Cum Laude. He practiced Law in New Jersey and then moved to San Francisco, CA in 1983 where he was involved with contract law and financial planning for Whitehall Parker Securities, Inc. Mr. Borny authored the book Change of Hearts and other short stories.
He is the beloved son of Dolores M. Borny of Rockaway, NJ and the late Walter S. Borny. His brothers, Kenneth W. of Hopatcong, Dr. Robert A. of Sparta, and Thomas S. of East Stroudsburg, his sister Denise V. Fernley of Hackettstown, and many nieces and nephews survive him.
Funeral from the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ on Thursday September 23rd at 8:45a.m. For a 10:00a.m Liturgy of Christian Burial service at St. Clement Pope and Martyr Church Rockaway, NJ. Friends will be received on Wednesday September 22nd 7-9p.m. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Vietnam Veterans Agent Orange Victims Fund, Darien, CT 06820
