Guy F. Aquino, 57, died peacefully on Sunday Aug. 22, 2004 at his home in Denville, NJ.
He was born in Morristown, and was raised in Boonton. He was the oldest of four children, born to Ruth and Frank Aquino.
He was a 1964 graduate of Morris Catholic High School where he ran track and played on the football team. He later went on to get a Computer Programming Degree from the Chubb Institute of Computer Programming. He retired as a senior Programmer Analyst at Chubb and Son Insurance Co. Warren, NJ after 34 years of service.
Guy married his loving wife Mary Sue, on February 19, 1983. After Living a short time in Lake Hiawatha, they moved to the Indian Lake Section of Denville in 1985. Guy was devoted to his family and friends, and was affectionately known as Spud.
He was an avid bowler and earned many bowling honors in the Chubb Mens Bowling League. Guy was also a diehard Yankee fan who attended games since the early age of three months old. He attended Opening Day every year since the age of 19. He often parked in the same spot outside of Yankee stadium and tailgated with his friends and children before the games. During the off season, Guy could be found supporting the Fighting Irish Football Team of Notre Dame. His love for sports also extended to the coaching of his sons Little League baseball teams.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years Mary Susan nee Rota. His son Michael G. Aquino and wife Melissa of Randolph, daughter Melissa S. Aquino and husband John Kobilarcik of Montville, Victoria E. Aquino and Joseph F Aquino both of Denville. He is also survived by his mother Ruth E. Aquino of Rockaway Twp., sister Fran Shivas and husband Don of Rockaway Twp., his brother Tom Aquino and his wife Kathy of Gastonia, NC, and brother Bill Aquino of Voorhees, NJ. Also surviving are his nine nieces and nephews and one great niece.
Funeral from the funeral home on Thursday Aug.26, 2004 at 8:30 AM for a 10:00 AM Liturgy of Christian Burial Service at St. Marys R. C. Church in Denville, NJ.
