When I think of Edith,I feel warm memories. Since I was the tender age of l7,she and Leslie welcomed Karen's new friend into their family with open arms and welcoming hearts. The friendship endured, and so did my feelings for the Kaniper family. There is no way to express how much they meant to me, since I had no family back East I sort of adopted them. Even after I left NJ and returned to Nevada, whenever I would visit, the door would be wide open for me as if I had never left.
I am sorry I will not see her again in this life, but I am also grateful she is at peace from her ordeal.
My prayers are with her and her family. Rest in Peace, Edith. You will be missed.
