John Patrick Friel passed away at his residence on June 8, 2004. He was 59 years old.
Born in Dundee, Scotland, he had lived for many years in Oklahoma before moving to the Bellville/Kearny area 15 years ago.
He had worked as a printer at various companies in Newark and Lyndhurst, NJ for 39 years.
He is pre deceased by his mother Mary (1968), and his sister Moira Finnegan (1986).
He is survived by his children Sean Friel of Lawrence, KS, Francis Friel of Edmund, OK, and Stephen Friel of Edmund, OK. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren, his father Patrick Friel and Step Mother Margaret Friel of St. Petes Beach, FL, and his sister Patricia Tencza of Butler, NJ. His step brother Charles Keppler of Kankakee, IL, Step Sister Kathleen von Sternberg of Denville, and Step Brother Stephen Keppler of Rockville, MD also survive him.
Funeral services will start at the funeral home on Saturday at 9AM for a Liturgy of Christian Burial Service at 10AM at St. Cecilias Church in Rockaway, NJ. Friends may visit on Friday evening from 7-9PM.
