David Waskiewicz, 61, died at St. Clares Hospital at Denville on Thursday May 6th.
Mr. Waskiewicz was born in Erie, Pa, and lived in Denville, NJ since 1971. Mr. Waskiewicz was a US Marine Vietnam Veteran. He was employed as a custodian for many years at the Jefferson High School. He retired in 2000. He is a lifetime member and Past Commander of American Legion Post 390 Denville, lifetime member of VFW Post 3401 Morris Plains, Lance Cpl Robert J. Slattery Marine Corp League, Whippany.
Mr. Waskiewicz was married for 30 years to Margaret Peg. He is the father of Gary Gerber of Forked River, Diane Gerber of Rockaway, Nancy Payne of Bushkill, Pa, David Grant and Scott Krole both of Florida. He had eight grandchildren. His sisters, Patricia Veltri of Erie, Pa and Pauline Waskiewicz of Zion, Il survive him.
Funeral service at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave, Denville, NJ on Monday at 11:00a.m. Friends and relatives will be received on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9p.m. Memorial donations to American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
