Obituary of Thomas W. Nix

Mr. Thomas W. Nix died in Phillipsburg, NJ after a long illness. His children, Theresa, Eileen, Michael, and Peter, also by six grandchildren, Christine, Caroline, Andrew, Dana, Maggie, and Ian, survive him.
He proudly served in the Army in WW II as a sniper and radio operator, achieving the rank of Technical Sergeant. Following the war, he married Margaret Irwin and settled in Denville, NJ
He worked for Kearfoff in Clifton as an electrical engineer, and helped in the design of guidance and propulsion systems for civilian and military aircraft, and for the Manned Space Program, aiding in the design of the Lunar Module Guidance computer.
After his retirement, he was employed by the Board of Education in Boonton.
He had a ham radio license, and was a musician, playing drums in the Bob Howard Trio.
