Mr. George Bilanycz, 82, died at Morris View Nursing Home at Morris Township, NJ on Sunday January 11, 2004.
Mr. Bilanycz was born in the Ukraine, and moved to the United States in 1958. He settled in Denville in 1998 prior to that he lived in Cedar Knolls. Mr. Bilanycz was a business owner and operated the Blue Haven Lounge in Chicago, IL for 17 years retiring in 1978. Mr. Bilanycz was a member of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army during World War II.
Mr. Bilanycz was the husband of the late Julia M. Kowalchuk Bilanycz. Three daughters, Christine Bilanycz, Mary Ann Bilanych and her husband Zenon, Rosemary Andrian and her husband Michael, survive Mr. Bilanycz. Also survived by his grandchildren Stefan, Paul, Adam, Deanna, and Marc. One sister Maria Bilanych of Poland.
Funeral from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ at 9:30AM for a 11:00AM Funeral service at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Church 719 Sanford Ave., Newark, NJ Interment St. Marys Cemetery Hanover, NJ Friends will be received Thursday 2-4 and 7-9PM. Panachyda will be held on Thursday at 7:30PM.In lieu of flowers donations family to accept contributions for the building of the Ukrainian Cultural Center.
