Robert H. Mountford Jr. passed away on January 2, 2004 at the Regency Grand Nursing Home in Dover, he was 87 years old.
Born in Philadelphia, PA he had moved to the Lake Arrowhead section of Denville, NJ in 1939 where he has lived since.
He attended Rutgers University in Newark, and then Graduated from Newark College of Engineering with a BS in 1965.
He was the head of industrial engineering at Picatinny Arsenal in Rockaway Twp., NJ for 36 years before retiring in 1975.
He was a member and past president of the Lake Arrowhead Club. He was also a member of Tau Beta Pi, and Pi Tau Sigma Alumni Association thru Newark College of Engineering.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years Mary E. (Smith). His daughters Barbara Schaer of Ocean Grove, NJ and Diana Hettinger of Stanhope, NJ also survive him. He is also survived by 6 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services by Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ (973) 627-1880 will be graveside at Denville Cemetery on Wednesday at 11AM. Friends may visit on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9PM.
