Mar E. Spicer (Nee Horvath) passed away on January 2, 2004 at her residence in Rockaway, NJ. She was 73 years old.
Born in Newark, she lived most of her life in the Ironbound section of Newark before moving to Rockaway 2 years ago.
She was a secretary for 30 years working her last job at Cappy Trucking in Newark before retiring in 1996.
She loved animals and art, producing many lovely paintings in her last few years.
She is pre deceased by her late husband Elsworth who passed away in 1995. She is also pre deceased by her sister, the late Eleanor Newcomb.
She is survived by her children Betti (& Anthony) Cuomo of Rockaway, and her son John Spicer of Redondo Beach, CA. Her Grandchildren Kristen and Rachel Cuomo (of Rockaway), and Tricia Spicer-Bekey (Of Seattle, WA) and Edward Spicer (of Redondo Beach, CA) also survive her. Her Brother Donald (& Barbara) of East Hanover, NJ also survive her.
Services at the funeral home on Tuesday January 6, at 11:00AM. Friends may visit on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9PM. In Lieu of flowers donation to: Noahs Arc Animal Welfare Association US Highway 46 Ledgewood, NJ 07852.
