Walter was a beautiful, joyful, fun loving and very funny, lovely man. He always had a smile on his face and made me feel better just being around him. I remember when my 20 year old daughter was just about 3 or 4, and he would do magic for her and she would love it! May God Keep You Always in His Arms. Miss your sweet and loving energy! May God embrace Joan and fill her with his Love and Peaceful Light and Warm her heart with Beautiful Memories of you.

My uncle Walt was one of kind. I have no memories of him ever being in a bad mood, not having a joke, or not talking about the town he loved, Denville. I do have memories of coming to Denville for functions he was part of, and seeing him in his clown costume making everyone laugh. I never saw him without aunt Joan by his side, smiling watching him "do his thing." He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. I love you uncle Walt, I'm sure everyone in heaven is hearing your jokes now.

I remember the time he went with my Dad to St. Claire’s hospital to help him check in before he had his leg amputation. The lady was asking Dad baic questions – name – address – phone number that kind of thing when it came to “What religion are you?”
My Dad got confused and said “pedestrian” instead of Presbyterian.
Walt quickly piped up , “He walks to church!”.
He had a wonderful sense of humor and both my wife Becky and I thought the world of Walt. He’ll be missed!!!! Prayers to Joan and the family.

My Grandfather was one of the most amazing people I have ever met. He touched the lives of every person he came in contact with. He was a man of honor and was always willing to help anyone, from the homeless to the rich. He was truely a great man who will be missed by so many. The memory which I hold dear is one from my childhood. He was trying to teach me to waltz but my two left feet kept getting in the way and I kept stepping on his toes or kicking his shin. He picked me up by my arms and placed my feet on top of his. We danced around the livingroom to Nat King Cole and then he and Grandma danced. It was almost magical, but then again, he always made everything feel like magic. Thank you everyone for your kind words and for sharing your thoughts and feelings, our family really appreciates it.

Walt was a true gentleman. He went out of his way to make us feel a part of his family when we stayed with them on holiday. Our children have many happy memories of their Uncle Walt. He just made everything fun and his loss will be felt by the many, many people whose lives he touched.

Mr. Taylor was my next door neighbor most of my life. He was always kind and willing to share his great sense of humor. I know that he had a variety of interests, including writing in calligraphy (he wrote out all of my wedding invitations), reading (he brought books over as gifts every Christmas), and clowning around (in costume)!
As Santa Clause or the Town Crier, or any of his other roles, he made Denville a better place to live & will be missed by many!
Prayers of peace to Mrs. Taylor, Steven, Paul, and the rest of the family.

Although it is hard to find the words to write that fully encapsulate all of the memories that I have of times with my grandfather, I feel compelled to write. Anyone that knew him (or even just met him once), knew what a kind man he was. I don't say this because he's my grandfather, but because I've heard it time and time again throughout my life. He was ALWAYS there for me and I can't think of a major milestone in my life that he wasn't a part of. Every dance recital, vocal recital, graduation, school concert, awards ceremony and events in between (including my soccer games), he was there for. As a result, I have a wealth of memories and while that is what I'll hold on to, it makes it that much harder to know that he will miss out the major events of my adult life. It's hard to know that I can no longer visit him when I go home.
Thank you to all that have taken the time to "light a candle" (and thanks in advance to those that will). It truly means a lot!
