Richard J. King, 64, died on Tuesday December 2, 2003 at the Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover, NJ.
Richard was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and lived in Queens, NY for 31 years, moving to Denville NJ in 2001, and later to Ledgewood, NJ in 2002.
He was a maintenance supervisor for Newsweek Magazine in NY City for many years and later he worked as a security guard in the Diamond District in New York City retiring in 2000.
He was a member of the National Rifle Association.
His wife Lucille T. died previously.
He is survived by his sister Dolores V. Murray of Ledgewood, his brother and sister in-law George J. and Rosanne King of Port Richey, Fla. Two nieces Kathleen A. Murray and Karen D. Murray both of Denville, and two nephews Raymond J. Murray of Midlothian, Va., and Robert J. Jr. and his wife Michelle Murray of Rockaway, NJ. A great niece Emily K. Murray, and two great nephews Michael E. and Robert J. Murray III.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial Service will be held on Saturday Dec.6, 2003 at 10:00 AM at the Chapel at St. Clares Hospital Pocono Road Denville, NJ.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday evening Dec.5, 2003 from 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
