My Aunt Marcia was the most charitable woman I have ever known. I have vivid memories of her grace as a bride. I felt her faith when she stood as Godmother of my son John almost 46 years ago. She left an indelible impression on my young daughters when they visited her about 32 years ago. Recently Aunt Marcia and I spent many hours visiting in person, on the phone, or by email. I knew I could depend on her sage advice. Aunt Marcia stood firm in her convictions every day; she reached out to people in need with a sense of compassion wanting nothing in return. She left a great legacy of honesty and love.

What can I say about this woman that already hasn't been said? The only thing I can say is what she meant to me. I always held Mrs. Pazel on the highest pedestal for the person she was; a mother, a friend and grandmother. Her love for life and family was so incredible. She is someone that everyone who met her could take a way something. I will miss the talks we had when I would either be dropping off kids or shoveling her walkway when it snowed. She always had the ability to get me to see the other side of things when no one else could; to try new things...rhubarb pie...yum. No matter what the circumstance was for me being there, she always sent me away with a bag of my favorite raspberry thumbprint cookies. I will miss the "bob" of her head and smile when she said my name. Because the word Mom had been erased from my mind long ago, I never called you that....I say now goodbye Mom.
Love Always,
Tom

To the family, I grew up with Marcia in Unadilla. It was a great pleasure to know her and Frank. Many happy memories of those high school days. She kept us together by planning our reunions over the years. May God's blessing be on her and all of her family. I know you will miss her but perhaps there is some comfort in knowing she is now reunited with Frank. Bea (Shubert) Judd

I tried to put together some words but I can't find ones good enough. (I know it would make you laugh to know that I'm speechless).
You made me part of your family. You were there for the happy and sad days. When my mom and my dad died, you were there. You made my family your family. You embraced us and kept us close to your heart. You were our extra Mom, Grandma and friend. We shared birthdays, Christmases and Easters as one big family.
We had a picnic lunch on the floor in the living room the first day we owned our house. You were there the first time I bathed Melinda. I would always laugh when you signed a card Mom, Marcia, Grandma. I loved the picnics you had with Melinda in her little play house; the airplanes the kids decorated and we all flew at Easter. The socks and lottery cards you gave us. The little outfits you made Melinda. All the little notes for Melinda you would put in a card.
You spoiled all of us with your strength, love and devotion. You are greatly loved and missed but we are all better people because you touched our lives.
Love, Bon

As the family gathered, Marcia kept cooking, comforting, smiling, keeping spirits up, just being Marcia. She has always opened her home and heart to us. What a good sport, humorist, and truly generous person. We'll love her always. Our deepest sympathy to her friends and family.

Dear Tim, Peggy, and Tom,
I am so sorry of your mother's passing. Talking to Tim during this diffucult experience assisted me with defining the word "Mom" or in this case Mrs. Pazel. She was an extremely strong woman who has persivered many obsticles through out her life. Raised three wonderfull children as well as many grandchildren. She also touched the hearts of many students in which she taught during her teaching career. In addition, she always offered assistance to many whom were not as fortunate. Knowing Tim and Peggy before I met Mrs. Pazel and then meeting Mrs. Pazel, it was very easy to figured out where the kids received their intelligents, kindness, compasion, and generosity from.
Another word defined to me by Mrs. Pazel and her children was "strength". What I witnessed during this sad time by her children was very powerful and life altering. To be by her side to comfort her, preparing oneself for this unforgetable moment, and composing themselves to make everyone surronding them at ease is a text book definition for "strength".
Words cannot express how proud your mother must be of all of you children. My deepest sympathy, Tucker M. Kelley
