John Joseph Anderson
Engineer, Retired V.P. of Sales
John Joseph Anderson passed away at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ on October 21, 2003. He was 71 years old.
He was born at home in Astoria, Queens, NY on January 1, 1932, he was The Baby of the Year being the first baby born in 1932 in NYC.
He moved to Denville, NJ in 1959 and then to Lake Intervale in 1961.
He earned a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from City College of New York in the late 1950s. He was a former member of the Mt. Lakes Glee Club, a former CCD Teacher, & CYO Basketball coach at St. Catherines in Mt. Lakes, as well as a Little League Coach in Parsippany. He currently volunteered delivering Meals on Wheels in the Denville area. He is a Former President of Lake Intervale Management Association; Currently sat on the Board of Directors, a Former President of the Institute of Environmental Sciences (IES), and a Retired Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Scientific Atlantas Spectral Dynamics Division. His greatest Engineering Accomplishment came when he was employed with KPT in Roseland, NJ; He was the Chief Engineer in the development of the first Centrifuge in Pensacola, FL (Used to train the original seven astronauts). He currently owned and operated Creative Technical Sales in Parsippany, NJ.
He was a loving, devoted family man survived by his wife of 46 years, Dorothy J. (Paul) Anderson of Lake Intervale, NJ, his children Dorothy E. Boyce of Succasunna, , Margaret M. Moratz of Denville, John T. Anderson of Lake Intervale, and James P. Anderson of Sparta. His Grandchildren Amy, Katrina and Patrick Moratz of Denville. His Sister Mary DeMarco of Astoria, NY. And by many nieces & nephews. He is pre deceased by his parents Carl and Mary (Sweeney) Anderson, and his brother Carl Anderson
