A funeral service for Ronald J. Swartz, 62 of Parsippany, will be held at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ on Sunday, March 21st, at 4:00p.m. following the viewing from 2:00 4:00.
Ronald Swartz who died early Friday March 19th, was born in Hanover, PA, where he graduated from Eichelberger High School in 1959. A graduate of Penn State University, Ronald remained an active member of the Alumnis Penn State Club of Northern New Jersey; organizing a football ticket exchange, promoting Penn State at high school college fairs, and maintaining season football tickets.
Ron was in the army reserves and called to active service in Vietnam from 1968-1969. Following his service, Ronald worked for Sperry-Unisys as a systems analyst manager. At the time he obtained an MBA from St. Peters College in Jersey City. Changing to commercial telephone sales, Ronald worked for Bell Atlantic and Williams Communications. At the time of his death, he worked for Johnston Communications in No. Arlington.
Surviving is his wife, Carolyn, son, Neal, daughter, Laura, Granddaughter, Cecelia Swartz, brother Wayne, and sister, Sally Senft.
There will be an additional service in Hanover, Pa. at St. Marks Lutheran Church on Monday, March 22nd at 1:00p.m. Interment service at St. Jacobs Stone Church cemetery in Glenville, PA.
