George Heinrich Trautmann Passed away at his residence in Denville on July 29, 2003. He was 66 years old.
Born in Bayonne, NJ he had moved to Denville 37 years ago.
He was the president & Owner of Georges Moving & Storage in Boonton & Denville since 1967 before retiring in 1998.
He was a Past Master of Jephthah Masonic Lodge #233 in Rockaway, a member of the Peace Pipe Country Club (& Their exclusive Hole in One Club), he was past president & coach of Denville Little League, and he was an avid softball pitcher.. In the Late 1950s he played semi-pro football and was offered a contract by the New York Titans.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years Jane (Lemke) and his children George (& Lisa) of Hopatcong, Glenn (& Stacy) of Jefferson Twp., Gregg (& Donna) of Rockaway Twp., Jayne Ann (& Wayne) Struble of Jefferson Twp. Eric of Denville, Robert of Denville, Karl (& Lena) Magenheimer of Texas, and Debra (& Vincent) Henderson of Piscataway. He is also survived by 21 Grandchildren, a Sister Madeline (&Robert) Wianecki of Rockaway Twp., and a Brother Karl (& Peggy) of Florida. Many nieces & nephews also survive him.
Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 8:00PM, a Masonic service will be prior at 7:30PM. Friends may visit Thursday from 5-8PM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to: The Leukemia Society of America 1855 Springfield Avenue Maplewood, NJ 07040.
