Obituary of Susan Lynn Coll
Susan Lynn Coll, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2024, at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville, NJ. She had shared 66 years of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories with family and friends.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Susan moved to Denville at the age of 12, where she would call home for the remainder of her life. A proud graduate of Morris Knolls High School, Class of 1976, Susan dedicated her early career to beautifying others as a skilled beautician at Pro Haircutters in Rockaway Mall. Later, she enjoyed connecting with people in her role as a bartender at Charlie Brown's in Denville. However, her greatest joy came from being a devoted mother to her sons, Richard and John Coll.
Susan had a passion for music that filled her home and heart, with a special love for 70's rock and old country. She reveled in attending concerts, especially in New York City, where she could immerse herself in the sounds that inspired her. Known for her culinary skills, Susan's family and friends eagerly anticipated her famous red sauce, a true labor of love.
She is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Rose M. Iversen. Susan leaves behind her sons, Richard and John, their father, Richard Coll; her father, Robert G. Iversen; her brother, Richard (Cindy) Iversen; her nephews, Chris (Jennifer) and Jeffrey (Devon); and many other extended family and friends.
A private service will be held, and Susan will be laid to rest in the family plot at Mount Marion Cemetery in Saugerties, NY.
