Obituary of Angelica Malvisi

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Angelica Malvisi. Angelica was a passionate, caring, and kind woman who lived to see 100 years of life. She will be deeply missed.

Angelica was born to Antonio and Candida Malvisi in Pontypridd, Wales UK, on November 4th, 1923. She was raised alongside her late sister Veronica in a lively Italian community. Angelica spent World War II working in a relative’s candy shop. Once they entered adulthood Angelica and Veronica moved to London. After a few years they made the biggest move yet, to New York City. She established her career working in Midtown Manhattan restaurants. When she wasn’t working she would be traveling,
shopping, spending time with family, or going to her church, Queen of Angels in Sunnyside NY. Angelica lived in Sunnyside until 2014 when she moved to New Jersey to be near family.

Angelica was a devout catholic who was motivated by faith. One thing that took precedence over all, though, was her family. And though we mourn the loss of this incredible woman, we take comfort in knowing that she is at peace, reunited in Heaven with those who passed before her: her beloved parents Antonio and Candida Malvisi and her cherished sister Veronica Vosilla. She is survived by her niece Yolanda Beattie; grand nephew Matthew Beattie and his spouse Daniela; grand niece Sarah Beattie and her spouse Paul Redpath: great nieces Natalia and Gracie Beattie: and devoted friend Beverly Oppenheim-Patterson.

There will be a private memorial service and burial. Memorial donations are being accepted in Angelica`s memory for Catholic Relief Services by way of inmemof.org.
