Mrs. Ida Weiss (Nee McBarron), 93, died on Saturday June 14, 2003 at the Franciscan Oaks Health Care Center, Denville, NJ. Mrs. Weiss was born in Newark, NJ and lived in Denville since 1947.
Mrs. Weiss was a supervisor for New Jersey Bell in Newark, NJ for 45 years and retired in 1975. After her retirement she was bookkeeper at St. Marys School Denville, NJ and retired in 1985. Mrs. Weiss was a member of the Denville Womens Club and Senior Citizens. Mrs. Weiss was a volunteer at St. Clares Hospital Ladies Auxiliary and a former member of the Rockaway River Country Club.
Mrs. Weiss was the wife of the late John Ford Weiss. She is survived by her sister, Eileen Motzenbecker of Sea Girt, NJ, she is the aunt of Augustus Mitchell, Mary Fish, William McBarron, Eileen Finnin, William Motzenbecker, Patricia Lueddeke, and Kevin Motzenbecker, and also survived by 17 great nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Weisss family will gather at the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ on Thursday at 9:00AM for a 10:00AM Liturgy of Christian Burial Service at St. Marys Church Denville, NJ. Interment St. Marys Cemetery, East Orange, NJ. Friends will be received Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9PM.
