I have such wonderful memories of my Aunt. When I would visit her and Fred, her first question to me was when do you want to go shopping? On one occasion we were out when she says we will run home before we go to the mall and get dinner started, so we can shop longer. We went back to the house, got dinner in the oven and off went again. When my uncle got home, he asked, who got dinner ready you gals were shopping! And we just smiled! Love you and Fred so much.

Gert shared many happy memories with me about her family and home in Denville, and her adventures with Fred. I once asked her if she could have anything she wanted to eat: she quickly answered that it would be her mother’s prime rib. God’s peace to Gert’s family and friends.
